ICL2024 will be held at the Poznań Congress Centre(PCC) which is located within the trade show centre of the Poznań International Fair (Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, MTP). The venue is located in central Poznań, right next to the railway station and several hotels, including the 5-star Sheraton Poznań. The plenary events will be held in the Earth Hall, Poznań largest congress hall seating up to 1900 people. Sections, focus streams and workshops will take place in smaller rooms within PCC. All are modern rooms equipped with all the amenities required by a major international congress.
Poznań itself is a bustling trade show city, and it has seen rising tourism levels in the recent years, culminating in a 5th place result in the European Best Destinations poll for 2019. Poznań is the capital of the Wielkopolska region, and as such boasts numerous cultural landmarks. Perhaps the most famous is the Old Town Square with a magnificent 16th-century Town Hall and colourful merchant houses. Within the 19th-century urban core, the Imperial Castle, completed in 1910, is among Europe’s youngest imperial residences. The Cathedral, located east of the Old Town on an island on the Warta river, contains the tombs of Poland’s first rulers. Among the most important museums are the National Museum, the Archaeological Museum, and the Weaponry Museum. More information can be obtained from https://www.poznan.pl/mim/turystyka/en/.
